Meet Jim at our upcoming shows:
Friends
We are just back from EAC where we had a great buying show and a lot of fun. See Cats report on the PCGS message boards for more details. We have added many new coins to our list and posted a great group of Early Quarters from an old collection. We also made some fortunate purchases in half dollars and these have already been added to the list as well.
We`ve added a new designation on our list, abbreviated VP, which stands for Variety Premium. This means these coins carry a monetary premium over the type or that dates value because of the die marriage or die state. In some cases it might just be an interesting Redbook variety that carries little or no premium but is sought by variety collectors. Eventually these coins will be duplicated in their own section when our web site design is complete, but will also continue to be in their respective category as well.
It won`t be long before we ramp up to travel again with LONG BEACH TABLE 938 and BALTIMORE TABLE 354-355---back to back. Ouch! We will be as busy as ever once those shows come into view, so now while it’s calm you have an opportunity to look over our offerings. Jim Matthews may have a few extra goodies in bust quarters and half dollars hidden away, or coming in soon,so if you don`t see it on the list give him a call. In addition to taking want lists we even service them now! Talk to JIM!
Two new books are about to hit the street on Bust Quarters and we will be recommending both! With Coins often costing thousands of dollars we really believe books are the deal of the Decade and even if you only learn a few things from each, they will pay for themselves many times over. The first is called EARLY BUST QUARTERS by Steve Tompkins and we understand it will be released this summer at ANA, maybe earlier. Steve will be directly marketing his book and he can be reached at SMT115@aol.com. The second will use the photographs accumulated by Rory Rea and is being put together by a group effort of John Reich Society Members, which include Glenn Peterson, Brad Karoleff, John Kovack and Rory Rea. We will let you know as soon as information comes available about how to purchase this fine book.

A note about uncertified coins
This is our current offering of raw coins. Many are very close to the line between grading and not grading. For some collectors these make an excellent way to afford more coins, for their sets. Rather than be misled by Funny 3rd world holders or raw coin sellers purporting the coins as completely wholesome we are taking an entirely different approach. We are going to sell you the coins at true market value that are often pumped up beyond their real value with smoke and mirrors. As Jack Nicholson said to Tom Cruise in a Few Good Men. " You want the truth and Tom says Yeah I want the Truth and Jack says You can`t handle the truth....well sorry Jack we think they can...here it is, a bunch of Uncertified coins, with honest descriptions about their flaws with commensurate prices well below what they would cost if they went into holders. Enjoy..see you at FUN. tables 409-411.

We are Real Buyers
With all that traveling you would think we get to buy enough coins. Nope, not even close. We can virtually never get enough high quality First Class Coins for our customers. If you have a single nice coin or an entire coin collection to sell we are the folks to see. We know the difference between average and nice, we know the difference between common and scarce, and we are not afraid to pay top prices for the right coins and strong prices across the board. If you have been at a show you`ve seen other dealers line up to sell us coins, that’s because we are real buyers, not just bargain hunters. If you want top prices, look us up first. We love first shot and will always earn the privilege.

How to
Use Our Website
First Choose Coin offerings on the
right.....
Step two
is to choose a category, then click onto the first coin.
At this point enlarge your screen and you will have the image as
well as the full description and the price date grade etc.
Everything on one page!
Step three is to hit the next button and watch how
quick the next image comes up. You will have skipped several steps
this way and you can flash through an entire section in a few
minutes with a minimum of key strokes. If you care to enlarge an
image you can and then go right back to hitting the next button.
If you want to scan through the entire list or more than one
section at a time after choosing coin offerings opt for List with
Photos and descriptions. Instead of viewing by category you will
have the entire list, usually 150-200 coins downloaded.
Click on whatever coin you wish to begin with. Then enlarge your
page, again, you will have the image and the complete description
and the price, grade etc.
Proceed to hitting the next button and you can scan through
each coin in a few seconds, stopping on the ones that interest
you. It’s like flipping through a box of coins at a show.
Another suggestion is to manipulate the Price heading...after
choosing the full list with photos and descriptions like we did
above, click onto the price header. The coins will rotate out of
order and be ordered by price, one click gets lowest price coins
at the top, a second click get the highest price coins at the top.
Then scan through looking at the collection centerpieces first or
the lowest price items first. Its great fun looking at the top
coins even if you don’t have 50k to spend on something at
that level. (Don’t forget we take all kinds of trades!)......or
if you’re on a budget start with the least expensive.
The trick is to get to that final screen, enlarge it and use
the next and previous buttons to skip the work of going back to
the first list.
To Operate the Zoom once the image is up click on zoom 1 through 4. You must click twice the first time you engage the zoom on any new coin, after that one click on the zoom will effect the change. Once coin is enlarged put cursor on the coin. Drag image around the box to view obverse or reverse. If you want a full view, page size, of the coin click onto the no zoom page icon. This will enlarge the coin to full screen size. You can also copy and save an image in the no zoom mode and email to a friend…hint hint….
I hope these explanations make the site more user friendly and
helpful hints or feedback is always appreciated............
